Overview
JuiceBox is an EV charging tracker built with your privacy in mind. Your charging data is yours, it lives on your device and, optionally, in your personal iCloud account. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
What Data We Collect
Data You Provide (Stored on Device & iCloud)
The following data is entered by you and stored locally using SwiftData. If you are a JuiceBox Pro subscriber, this data is also synced to your personal iCloud account via CloudKit:
• Vehicle information — make, model, battery capacity, driver name, and an optional photo
• Charging sessions — date/time, location type (home or public), charge level reached, energy added (kWh), charging speed, cost per kWh, and optional odometer reading
This data never leaves Apple's infrastructure (your device and your iCloud account) and is not accessible to us.
Analytics
To understand how the app is used and improve it, we collect anonymous, non-identifiable usage events via PostHog. These events include things like:
• Actions taken in the app (e.g. session logged, vehicle added, tab viewed, tool used)
• Feature interactions (e.g. AI prediction tapped, import/export used, paywall viewed)
• App settings changes (e.g. appearance preference, notifications toggled)
Analytics events do not include any of your personal charging data, vehicle details, or location. We collect aggregate numeric values (e.g. kWh added, charging speed) to understand usage patterns, but these are not linked to your identity.

Subscription Data
If you purchase JuiceBox Pro, your subscription is managed through Apple's App Store and processed by RevenueCat. RevenueCat handles purchase verification and entitlement management. We do not see or store your payment information. RevenueCat's privacy policy applies to purchase-related data.
Notification
If you grant permission, JuiceBox will send you local notifications reminding you when your next charging session is predicted, based on your charging history. These predictions are generated entirely on-device using Core ML. No data is sent to any server to generate them. You can disable notifications at any time in Settings > Notifications.
Apple Watch & Widgets
JuiceBox syncs a summary of your charging data to the Apple Watch companion app and home screen widgets using shared App Groups (on-device storage only). No data is transmitted externally as part of this sync.
iCloud Sync (JuiceBox Pro)
Pro subscribers can sync their data across devices using iCloud. Your data is stored in your personal iCloud account. We cannot access this data, it is encrypted and owned by you under Apple's iCloud terms of service.
Data Import & Export
JuiceBox allows you to export your data in the .jbx format (JSON) and import it again later. Exported files are created locally on your device and shared only if you choose to. We have no visibility into exported files.
Data Retention & Deletion
All your charging and vehicle data is stored on your device and in your iCloud account. You can delete individual sessions, vehicles, or all data at any time from within the app. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. To remove iCloud data, delete the app and then remove its data from Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Account Storage.
